I've made a bit of progess and acquired some new equiment.

Lighting is horrible and this makes for horrible pics.

After finishing ground cover for the hill/mountain. I decided that it'd be nice to see one small corner of the layout look somewhat finished to break up the pink prairie. I still need to go and clean up excess ballast from the top of the ties and such.

New equipment. I picked up this DCC ready goat from Model power. Runs really well at a small speed. These pics show one of the few times this little guy will ever be out on the mainline. His home will be servicing local industry in my as yet unamed town.

I've discovered that I need to really rethink the lighting. I'll pick up a few more 4' fixtures and see if that helps. I'll get something better before the next photo shoot.
